First, all of your regular maintenance needs are solved; you no longer have to spend the time to contact your provider and schedule services. • Monthly weeding and pruning as required.
  • Spring and fall clean up.

Top dressing is an organic approach to building a healthier, better and more vibrant lawn. Benefits of top dressing include:

  • Soil quality: Top dressing improves soil quality by adding organic matter, which helps with water-holding capacity, nutrient availability, and soil structure. Organic matter also breaks down and filters through the soil, improving the lawn’s health and texture.
  • Drainage: Top dressing improves drainage, which is especially important in areas with lots of rain. It also helps aerate the soil, which can be combined with top dressing for even better results.
  • Lawn surface: Top dressing can smooth out the lawn’s surface by filling in small holes and lumps. You can use fine sand or quality soil for this purpose.
  • Weed suppression: Top dressing can help suppress weeds.
  • Soil biodiversity: Top dressing can promote the development of soil microflora and microfauna, which help break down grass clippings and thatch.
  • Lawn repair: Top dressing can help repair damaged areas of the lawn.

Investing in trees and shrubs is a large expense, and caring for their continued health is a vital step in seeing them flourish. TRC offers a 4 step annual plan tailored to prevent diseases and control insects while also providing the plants with the nutrients they need to thrive. The four step plan includes:

  • 2 rounds of insect and disease control.
  • 1 application of deep root fertilization for growing trees.
  • 1 application of Horticultural Oil, which helps reduce scale insects in the dormant periods.

Keeping your lawn clean and leaf-free is a time consuming task, and much of St. Louis does not offer curbside leaf removal surfaces. TRC Outdoor would like to help you this fall season. Please contact us for a bid.
